Style identity crisis, I am wearing yellow! Still not a color I’d go for on a regular but I saw this in Forever21 and I couldn’t resist. All I need is a pair of low-rise bell-bottom jeans with some clogs and I could have been an extra on Mean girls. So now that I’m back in New York and in school, this outfit basically reflects my attitude towards this coming semester. Lord knows I was kind of struggling last semester, not just academically but emotionally, I was all over the place and I was physically ill for a good majority of the time. I guess as a college student, its fairly normal to hit rock bottom a few times. What works for me is being able to take a while to myself. It might sound basic but with being around people all the time and always having something to do, shit can get crazy and you find that you haven’t had a moment alone to gather your thoughts and or just relax and not worry.I’m still working on managing stress well, which is a challenge I’ve been having. Regardless, I’m feeling pretty good about Junior year, not because of anything specific but because I’ve decided within myself to try and take things easy and be positive even when I might be struggling. Otherwise, college could drive me crazy tbh.Anyway, everyone who’s back to school or about to be, take a page out of my book and go in with a positive attitude. At the end of the day, we can all only do our personal best and life really just does whatever the hell it wants to do. God bless you all and I hope you all have an amazing semester/term.
